JURASSIC PARK DRINKING GAME: Rule #2

So, every now and then a moving film can make me cry, heck, even Top Chef does. But sometimes when an actor cries on film it actually makes me laugh. They start with the crinkled chin, then the lip quiver and scrunched face and they look straight up crazy. It’s hilarious. Pause that shit or A-B it…giggles for hours. So I always thought that Claire Danes was the master of the cry face. She does it in everything she’s in except maybe those new Latisse comercials. But recently I was watching the classic, Jurassic Park, and look out Danes, the new master has been found! The great actress Ariana Richards gives an award winning performance (if you ask me) playing Lex in JP, and just like any of us would do in her situation, she cries a lot. That’s why it’s the perfect concept for our next rule, so you can drink a lot!

That’s right, every time Lex makes a funny ass cry face YOU DRINK!!

And don’t forget RULE #1 DINO THROUGH A WINDOW

Happy drinking, Happy Dino Wednesday, stay posted for rule #3!

Art and Beer !!!

Two of the best things in the world… Tonight at Black Bear there is a great event going on that downtown Hartford needs more of. Black Bear and PBR are sponsoring an Art Slam artist will be provided with a blank canvas or a blank skateboard and have three hours to complete it. The best news is it’s sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon so I am sure there will be tall boys a plenty. If your feeling artistic come down tonight and compete or come down and drink and watch.

Here is the event page for more details http://www.facebook.com/events/197664463672752/

Hope to see you there !

Things got wild, many 40′s were drank, and the lucky people there got to enjoy the music stylings of our friends from Philly – Hott Tubb. Heres a little video recap for anyone that missed it or was to drunk to remember. More videos, photos, and sound recordings to come later……

Andrew WK @ Mohegan Sun

As some of you might of been aware, one of HPSU favorites Andrew WK did a free show at Mohegan Suns Wolf Den last evening. The line was long to get into the wolfs den and a lucky few got to see up close and personal Andrew WK play the entire Get Wet Album plus a double encore. The Hartford Party Starters were out in full force repping the Twain WK shirts, which Andrew noticed and gave a direct shout out to the Party Starters!! Andrew even busted out a pizza guitar and had the whole crowd chanting Party and pizza ! I mean who doesn’t love a good pizza chant. Cherie Lily another HPSU favorite was onstage keeping the crowd hyped and pumped. For those of you who have never seen Andrew WK preform live I highly recommend it. Not only is it a high intensity show that you can’t help but get excited over, but there is a certain comradery you feel while watching the show with fellow fans and Andrew. Andrew Wk we love you thanks for another great show ! Here are some pics I attempted to take with my cell phone in the pit enjoy!

Dino Wednesday

While playing a casual game of X-men the arcade version last night I noticed something peculiar about some of the enemies I was slashing … they were DINOS ! I thought how perfect considering today is Dino Wednesday. Now I am not quite sure what type of dinos we are dealing with here exactly one looks sort of like an ancient gator/ raptor, while the other is some modern drone pterodactyl shooting its tiny robotic winged children at my Wolverine. Needless to say I lost a life or two trying to grab a screen shot, but all for the sake of Dino Wednesday.
