Since 2006, Cherie has been focusing her music skills on a genre she created called HOUSEROBICS, which fuses fitness lifestyle with her self-produced dance music. “I want to make the most exciting music possible and inspire people around the world to get sweaty,” and she’s not alone in her mission. NYC’s hottest DJs, like Roxy Cottontail, Larry Tee, DJ Nita, and Princess Superstar, have all jumped on board to show this fitness star support.
In addition to HOUSEROBICS, Cherie Lily recorded vocals on the 2008 GRAMMY nominated album “REPENTANCE”, by Lee “Scratch” Perry, and on ANDREW W.K.’s 3rd studio album, “CLOSE CALLS WITH BRICK WALLS”.
Like her HOUSEROBICS music, Cherie Lily’s personal style is alive with electricity. “I want to perform in clothes that are sexy, original, and fun, but also bold. It’s a strong feminine look.” Cherie’s innovative designs are custom made for her performances on stage and in the gym, featuring leotards and separates to wear straight from a workout, right to the club.
“For many years, I craved a certain sound of music that I couldn’t find. I heard the sound in my soul, and my feet felt the rhythm and wanted to dance – but my ears couldn’t located the audio. Then one day, as if in a dream, I saw a 9 foot man, dressed all in red, with a big yellow ball head. His face was his name, and it said, ‘BAD BRILLIANCE’. I listened carefully, and heard the music of my dreams. Bad B is the sweetest!” – Andrew W.K

For the uninitiated Howard Baldwin is one of the guys who brought the New England Whalers to Hartford way back in the day. Howie came back on to the scene in Hartford about a year ago and since then it’s been non stop promotion and politicking to bring an NHL team back to Connecticut. It’s still a long shot and is going to require the Civic Center to be blown up and rebuilt but if you look at the crowd of 13,000+ people that showed up for an AHL game between the newly christened CT Whale and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the promotion machine that made it happen you have to think that Baldwin is serious. Pictures are great, the vibe was by all accounts electric and the whale managed to pull out their first win in a shootout, a huge success all around. Hartford even had more people at their game last night than Phoenix did for their NHL game last night, that’s nuts.
So yeah, thanks to Howard Baldwin for his support of Hartford and his support of the whale. Go get your friends together and go to a game, Hartford finally has a team worth supporting again.
